Innovation for Society Awards (IFS): Fostering Creative Solutions

As part of its involvement, Olympia Electronics took part in the Innovation for Society Awards (IFS), an Open Innovation initiative fostering collaboration and creative solutions. IFS connects established companies with startups, research teams, and individual innovators to tackle real-world challenges with pioneering ideas.

Launch of the IFS Competition at the Technology Forum 2024

The IFS competition launched on April 25, 2024, at the 11th Technology Forum and Beyond 2024. Olympia Electronics, alongside nine leading companies, invited researchers, startups, and tech companies (Solution Providers) to propose breakthrough solutions, with a €20,000 Excellence Award up for grabs from a total prize fund of €40,000.

Olympia Electronics and RoboProX Win the IFS Innovation Excellence Award

After a competitive evaluation process, Olympia Electronics emerged victorious alongside the RoboProX challenge from the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications (IIT), claiming the first IFS Innovation Excellence Award on October 30, 2024. RoboProX’s focus on robotics and advanced manufacturing technologies marked a significant achievement in the field.

Grand Award Ceremony at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Ms. Lena Maravelia, Investment Project Manager of Olympia Electronics S.A., received the award at a prestigious ceremony held at K.E.D.E.A., Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Key figures such as Mr. Nikolaos Tzollas, Deputy Regional Governor for Digital Governance and Innovation of Central Macedonia, attended, underscoring the event's importance.
