OLYMPIA ELECTRONICS S.A., recognizing the importance of having new products in the market, has increased its range of products with a new Autonomous Fire Detection Device.

The GS-506 is a photoelectric 9V DC smoke alarm. It is operated by 9V battery (6LR61 or 6F22), with battery life 1 year minimum. With the photoelectric technology, it is more sensitive to detecting slow smolder fires which are generally thick, black smoke, little heat and may smolder for hours before bursting into flames. The smoke alarm does not contain any radioactive material which is harmless to the environment.

This is a smoke alarm with an optical sensor suitable for installation in residential buildings, apartments and rooms with residential-like use. Such smoke alarms are designed to provide an early warning of fire smoke and fire to people  present, so that they can immediately react  to the hazardous event.

The detector has the below characteristics:

• POWER : DC9V ( Carbon-Zink Type:GOLITE #G6F22, 1604D)
• OPERATION CURRENT :<10uA (standby), <30mA (alarm)
• ALARM VOLUME : >85dB(A) at 3 meters
• ALARM SENSITIVITY : 0.10-0.19dB/m.
