Olympia Electronics introduces the new BS-508/WiFi, an advanced standalone smoke detector that combines reliable smoke detection with remote notifications via WiFi.

The new detector has been designed for the early detection of smoke in residential properties and small commercial premises. Featuring a dual photoelectric sensor with split-spectrum technology, it provides fast and accurate response in the event of danger.

When smoke is detected, the BS-508/WiFi immediately activates its built-in 85 dB sounder and red LED visual alarm indicator. At the same time, through its connection to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network, it sends push notifications directly to the user’s smartphone, providing immediate information even when they are away from the premises.

Its standalone operation with a CR123A lithium battery, offering a service life of up to two years, reduces installation and maintenance requirements. The integrated Test/Silence button allows users to easily test the device and temporarily silence the audible alarm when required.

The BS-508/WiFi can cover an area of 20 to 40 m² in rooms with a height of less than eight metres and operates at temperatures ranging from -10°C to +55°C. Its compact and discreet design enables easy installation in a wide range of indoor environments.

The product complies with the European standard EN 14604:2005+AC:2008 and is TÜV certified, reinforcing its reliability and safe operation.
