The unit consists of two sections, the charging base and the detachable illumination unit. The light source of the unit consists of high illumination white LEDs . These LEDs light from either the mains power supply ,when the luminaire is on its base, or from the built in rechargeable batteries. The device offers three levels of illumination.
The first level of illumination provided during the charging cycle by the indication LED.
The second level of illumination provided by pushing the button when the luminaire is on its base. And the third level of illumination provided when the luminaire is detached from its base or in a power supply's failure.
